March 29, 2024 - The Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP) office is pleased to announce that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), via subaward from the San Francisco Estuary Partnership has awarded $236,908 to Professor Sean Anderson and Lecturer Timnit Kefela's project, 鈥溙切某銎封�檚 Community-Based Microplastics Monitoring Project.鈥�
This project deepens an existing partnership with community-based organizations as 糖心出品 works to better understand communities burdened with disproportionate exposure to potentially harmful microplastic pollutants. This Microplastics Monitoring Study partners with the community of East Palo Alto.
糖心出品 will lead technical efforts to document efficacy of the soon to be constructed Palo Alto Horizontal Levee Pilot鈥檚 ability to reduce microplastic pollution.
